Payment processing requirements

Stripe Account & Stripe M2 Required

Each Plug Up owner is responsible for creating and maintaining their own Stripe account and purchasing their own Stripe M2 card reader.

Not Included With Equipment

The Stripe M2 reader and Stripe account are not included with a Plug Up equipment purchase.

Owner-Managed Processing

Owners connect their own Stripe account to the station and pay all applicable Stripe payment-processing fees. Account approval and processing are subject to Stripe’s terms and requirements.

Plug Up does not provide or guarantee locations. Station owners find locations, obtain permission from property owners and manage their own placement agreements.

Marketing Not Included

Plug Up does not provide marketing services or guarantee customer traffic. Station owners are responsible for marketing their own business and securing locations for their stations.

Operate Your Business

Owners manage their stations, business requirements, taxes, permits, location agreements, Stripe fees and other operating expenses.

Machine owners are responsible for marketing their business, securing locations and placement agreements, maintaining their Stripe account and M2 reader, paying processing and operating costs, and complying with applicable laws, taxes, permits and other requirements.

Build your own charging network

Purchase your Plug Up equipment and operate your own power-bank rental business. You own and operate your equipment and can build your own network of charging locations.

When included in your selected business program, you keep the rental revenue rather than Plug Up taking a percentage. Payment-processing, platform and other applicable business expenses may still apply.
